Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

CANCER HAS NO AGE BARRIERS AND DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE!

35 years ago at 43, while travelling on business overseas, I passed blood in my stool. A trip to emergency department at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore determined I had colon cancer, and within 48 hours of diagnosis, I was in surgery.

CANCER CHANGED MY LIFE. . . .

In those following days, weeks, months, and now years, I was ever conscious of how fortunate I was (and am) to have had early diagnosis, a medical team, friends, a partner, and family who rallied around me. CANCER CHANGED MY LIFE in many ways from what I ate, what I thought, how I spent my time, and who I brought into my life. CANCER WAS TRANSFORMATIONAL.

CYCLING was a gift of having had cancer, as were becoming a vegetarian, learning yoga, and meditation. Learning new habits and changing my lifestyle were the gifts of this DISEASE.

THE TOUR DE CURE REPRESENTS HOPE, A COMMITMENT AND BELIEF THAT CANCER CAN BE BEATEN.

I am a LIVING EMBODIMENT that CANCER CAN BE BEATEN.

WEVE ALL BEEN TOUCHED BY CANCER.

Join me, along with thousands of othersin spirit and on bikeson our 2-day, 200-kilometre ride, on August 24 and 25, knowing that, TOGETHER AND THROUGH EVENTS SUCH AS THIS, CANCER WILL ULTIMATELY BE A WORD FOUND ONLY IN THE HISTORY BOOKS.

Through YOUR SUPPORT, both in dollars and belief, CANCER CAN BE BEATEN.

SEE U AT THE FINISH LINE. . . .

P.S. Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

TOGETHER LET'S BEAT CANCER!
