Double your donation with Employee Giving

 

You might be able to support the Tour de Cure through an Employee Giving Program for yourself or a colleague who is participating. Many companies offer matching donation programs. Some programs will also match donations for spouses or retirees. 
 
If your employer doesn’t offer donation matching, your spouse’s employer might. It’s always worth checking!

How does it work?

If your company provides a donation match, that means they will offer a $100 donation for each $100 you donate to the BC Cancer Foundation in support of your fundraising goal!

Submitting your donation

 

Connect with your HR department to find out if your company offers matching donations through an Employee Giving Online Portal like Benevity, CanadaHelps, or United Way.

If you have an online portal available, it’s easy to submit your request.

Step 1: Submitting your donation through the online portal

  1. Log in to your Employee Giving Online Portal
  2. Select ‘BC Cancer Foundation’ and choose ‘The Tour de Cure’
  3. Ensure that the following fields are completed (if applicable):
    • Participant name (You can note this in the comment section)
    • Total amount of your donation
    • For our team to be able to credit the donation to your page, you must also opt in to share your information with us at the BC Cancer Foundation while submitting your donation.

Step 2: Notify us of your Employee Giving donation

After completing the online donation through your Employee Giving Online Portal, please complete this form to notify our team. This notification allows us to ensure that your donation is directed to the proper participant fundraising page.

Once submitted, your donation will be reflected on the requested fundraising page within three to six weeks.
