In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge for the second time.

Since my last ride, I learned that Id lost an old friend, someone Id lost touch with.

His name was Rob Milne and he was 71 when he passed. I met Rob in 2010 and worked with him for 7 years in various capacities. In that time I learned a lot from him.

You could say Rob lived a full life. In his life, he was a son, a brother, a husband, a dad and a grandpa. He was a businessman, an athlete, a cyclist and a vegan. By these descriptions, he was your average guy but he was something else...

Rob was a shrewd businessman whose sharpness and cutthroat acumen were matched only by his incredible heart and generosity. He was a force to be reckoned with in the business world, always ahead of the curve and unwavering in his pursuit of excellence. His curiosity and entrepreneurship was inspiring to those who got to witness it. He was deeply respected for his ability to make hard decisions when needed. While he didnt always get it right, he had the courage and perseverance to keep at it.

Rob wasn't a garish guy, he wasn't one for the limelight, he seemed to be quite the opposite. He was a philanthropist but was content to be in the background, supporting various causes and charitable organizations. What's more, he was so proud to have his two sons in business with him. Watching him mentor them and coach them to take the reigns was really inspiring. In my opinion, he was far more than average.

To his wife, his two grown sons and their wives, his sister and three cherished grandchildren, I'd like to honor the profound loss you feel and celebrate the enduring legacy he leaves behind. To his extended family and countless colleagues and friends, we remember a man who always looked out for others, whose impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

I'm riding for him, to celebrate his life, his achievements, and the love he so generously gave. His memory inspires others to be our best selves, to look out for one another, and to live life with the same passion and integrity that he did. In his honor, I'll be pedalling forward with hope, strength, and unyielding determination.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support!
