Please support me in the Tour de Cure!
In less than a month I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to rasie funds and participate in the Tour de Cure. This will officially be my sixth year helping BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
Every year has its own challenges, last year I experienced extreme dehydration for the first time, as the skies were filled with smoke and hot air from fires across the province. It was a difficult first night but it's only one day and people were counting on me. In the morning I recovered and got back on the bike for Day 2 to honour my father in law who passed a couple of months before, in part due to complications related to cancer. Day 2 was cut short for all riders as severe smoke from nearby forest fires impacted us all. None the less everyone did their part to honour the people who supported us and those we all support with the funds raised.
This year I will be thinking about a work colleague who was recently diagnosed and is fighting the fight and I wish him a speedy and healthy recovery.
