In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge (to say the least!). This will be my first year to participate in the Tour de Cure, raising money for Cancer research. There are a good number of reasons I have chosen to participate in this life changing event; the top two being:
1. In honor of my best friend/sister who lives with Lypo Sarcoma (since 2013), and had her right hamstring removed from a cancer related surgery as many years ago. Seeing her strength, conviction, and perseverance thru many obsticles has inspired me to take on this challenge. I strive to support my sister in every way I can, and this event to raise money for Cancer research seems effertless in the shadow of what she exepriences some days of her life.
2. Personal challenge and growth. I am grateful to be joining a well experienced group of riders who will be outstanding in guidance and support to help me achieve my goals for this event. Last year the RGF Market Cycles reached their $1 Million mark in total funds they have raised over 15 years of riding for the Tour de Cure. I am excited for the challenges this course will bring, and most grateful for the mighty spirit of the team. I can't think of a better group of people to experience this with.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation not only helps me achieve my fundraising goal, it is huge motivation for me!
Thank you so much for your support!
