On August 24th and 25th, I'll be joining once again in the Tour de Cure, a 200km cycling challenge supporting the BC Cancer Foundation in its mission to break down cancer. Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will go towards life-saving research and improvements to care at BC Cancer, providing hope to patients in British Columbia and beyond.
Cancer has had a profound impact on my life. I've witnessed numerous loved ones lose their battles, and each loss has been incredibly painful. Losing my father seven years ago was one of the most tragic and heart-breaking moments of my life. He was a remarkable fighter, full of love for life, who never lost hope in beating cancer. His resilience inspires me to continue his fight so that others don't have to endure the same pain.
These painful losses have made me realize how precious and fragile life truly is. It has also taught me that anyone who is alive and healthy can play a role in making a difference by contributing to this fight. I firmly believe that together we can overcome cancer.
In the early stages of development, funding is crucial for advancing cancer research quickly. That's why I've chosen to participate in the Tour de Cure once again. While I may not be a doctor or scientist, I can still contribute by riding my bike and raising awareness in my community.
Thank you for considering supporting my ride by making a donation today. Your support means the world to me and to those battling this devastating disease.
The fight is on, and we will only stop when we can stop cancer!
