Team Schnitzel was founded in 2022 with a playful spirit and a serious mission. I am Dr. Florian Kuchenbauer, a clinician-scientist at BC Cancer, I chose the name to bring a smile to faces, after all, who doesnt enjoy a good schnitzel? Alongside my friends Hiro, Muay Thai & BJJ coach, and Linh, a biotech entrepreneur, we share a deep commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and improving cancer treatment in British Columbia. Our team was created to support the work of outstanding scientists like Dr. Ly Vu, Linh's wife, as well as my own research efforts. Through the Tour de Cure, Team Schnitzel aims to fundraise and introduce innovative treatments for leukemias and multiple myeloma, striving to make BC a better place for patients battling these challenging diseases. We believe that through our shared passion for people and science, we can make a significant impact.
