Dear Friends,
As I gear up for another round of the Tour the Cure, I reflect on my experience from last year. It was a journey that hit close to home, seeing dear friends and family battling this relentless disease. My aunt, beautiful godmother, coworker's husband and my dearest friend's Dad fought bravely but ultimately lost their battles. This horrible disease affects too many close friends and families, but their strength inspires me to push forward, even when the road gets tough.
Last year, during my first ride, I doubted my ability to make it through. But as I pedalled through the challenges, I realized that my journey was nothing compared to the battles fought by those facing cancer. I'm taking on the challenge again this year, embarking on a 200 km journey from Cloverdale to Hope. Though I may not be a Tour de France contender, I am determined to pedal every inch of that 200 km because every drop of sweat and ache in my muscles is a testament to the courage of cancer fighters.
But I cannot embark on this journey alone. I need your support to make this ride count. My goal is to raise $2,500 (and maybe even surpass it!) to aid in the fight against cancer. These funds will support cancer research, provide compassionate patient care, and promote cancer prevention efforts.

It's not just about the financial support, but also the message it sends-that you stand with us in this fight. Together, we can make a difference and move closer to a future where cancer is just a memory.
