I am Dr. Florian Kuchenbauer, and my passion is fueled by a commitment to solve the real-life challenges faced by patients battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and multiple myeloma. Having trained in hematology in Munich and Ulm (Germany), I could bring my expertise to Vancouver, where I lead innovative research at the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplantation Program and the Terry Fox Laboratory. Here, I am at the forefront of developing innovative treatments and establishing British Columbia's first multiple myeloma research program, aiming to transform how we care for patients.
As the Associate Director of the Hematology Research Program, I oversee clinical trials and foster translational research to significantly improve treatment outcomes. My efforts include bringin innovative stae-of-the-art clinical trials to BC and pioneering a novel in-patient clinical trial unit at VGH.
To extend this impact, Team Schnitzel was founded in 2022 a group now comprising over 20 riders united by our passion for martial arts and our shared goal to improve cancer treatment in BC. By participating in the Tour de Cure, we are reaching out to you for support to deepen our impact. Your contribution, no matter the size, is incredibly valuable. Together, we can ensure every patient receives the most advanced care available. Your support means we can continue advancing the boundaries of what is possible in medical treatment for everyone in need.
