In early Nov 2023, my life partner and our team captain, Marga, was diagnosed with stage 3C cervical cancer. The diagnosis and intensive treatment plan (throughout Dec 2023 & Jan 2024) shook us to the core. It's been a very challenging road and Marga has remained an inspiring warrior throughout the entire process.
Going to BC Cancer dozens of times in the past few months to support Marga throughout treatment was very humbling. Cancer is everywhere and has massive impacts on patients, support givers, family and friends. Thank you to everyone that helped us along the journey - food drops, dog walks, board games, video / phone calls, exercise buddies, and just saying that you're there for us and happy to talk. We're very fortunate and grateful to have an amazing support network.
With that said, Team Fast & Cure-ious is back on the road this August and we'll be counting on you for more support.
