August 24-25 2024 I will be embarking on the epic cycling challenge in the Lower Mainland. 200 km over 2 days. I am proud to say this is my 4th year to have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
2023 was hot & smokey in our beautiful province. Some made the whole 200 km ride-some like myself were guided by the organizers to stop at 165 km based on the conditions. We have hope we will not face the same uncontrollable challenge's. Our goal is to complete this epic ride and cross the finish line as a team on Sunday August 25.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world. We all have our own reasons why we ride. Your donation matters-not only to all those affected by cancer but to myself personally. I will always dedicate this ride to my Dad & my dear friend Vince. This year my cousin Janet will be in my thoughts as well-Janet battled hard-her body tired & we lost a kind gentle person Dec 1 2023. They will always be with me.
As a team we have begun getting our legs and backside ready by attending spin classes at the PG YMCA. With the love & support of CrossFit Northern Ice PG I learn & strive 3 times a week to reach new strengthening/conditioning goals. Please consider supporting me by making a gift today.
