Please support me in the Tour de Cure.
Working in healthcare for over 25 years, I have sadly seen more than one should ever bear witness to the devastating effects of cancer. Through the many facets of my nursing career, I have been witness from diagnosis, through surgery, through treatment, suffering and death... BUT I have also been privileged to witness the love and support of loved ones, hope, determination and survival of many. Many happy stories which have been made possible through research and funding through organizations such as BCCF.
Sadly, I lost my Aunt Yvonne almost 15 years ago which has forever left a mark on me. I vividly remember her will and determination to live, the lost fight and the devastating effect on those left behind who loved her. Again, this year, I bear witness to some very close and dear people to me who are fighting the fight. I ride for my dear dear friend Eliza, my beloved cousine Sandrine, Dilla is the living angel in our family, Viv who is one badass chick fighting the fight, Joyce and Ann who kicked cancer's ass to the curb, Susana who is a inspiration, a gentle soul and a miracle, and the countless others I will hold dear to my heart as I ride.
I hope you will join me and support my ride to kick Cancer's ass because it really really sucks :(
