Hi everyone,
In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer. I will be riding 200KM over two days from Cloverdale to Hope.
I am riding in honour of my late father, Eric Poon, who passed away in November 2022 from lymphoma. My dad was diagnosed in the summer of 2022, and spent several months at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver receiving treatment. While he was at the agency, the staff were caring and attentive, helping us all during this difficult time. Treatment was looking effective, even allowing him to return home and spend a few precious weeks with the family. Although an unexpected turn took place, my dad was always a fighter and never let go of the valuable relationships he held with friends and family. I am thankful for the care and support BC Cancer has provided.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!
Thank you so much for your support!
