In August 2024, I will be embarking on my sixth ride to raise funds for cancer research. I started as a volunteer with the Ride as a way to support this cause. At that time, I didn't think I could ride over 200KM over 2 days. Fast forward many years later, this has become one of my favorite events to attend.
The ride is always difficult, sometimes even grueling. There were years where it rained both days and the temperature was very cold. But it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer. I am motivated by riding alongside other like minded individuals all striving to do what we can to help beat this disease in our lifetime. I ride for my family members and friends who have had to battle this disease.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
