In August, myself and my teammates will be riding 200km - from Cloverdale to Hope - to raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation.
Last week I rode 20 km and gently drove into another cyclist and rode into a ditch - so this should be really easy for me. But what is not easy is going through cancer treatments, and facing all the challenges a cancer diagnosis brings with it.
This cause hits close to home for me, as my husband was diagnosed with an astrocytoma 7 months ago. Even as he navigates cancer treatment with an inspirationally positive attitude - I still hope it's something that neither us, or others, ever have to face.
In order for that to be a reality - organizations like the BC Cancer Foundation work diligently on life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
