This year I will be joining the Tour de Cure, and I need your help.
I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada and in August I have committed to a 200km cycling challenge which will help the BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
Those who know me personally know that I love a physical challenge, but I am not much of a cyclist (yet) so this will be difficult for me. However, the difficulty doesn't compare to the challenge of facing cancer.
One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, this means we will all be impacted by the disease in some way. Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world. I am a proud employee of BC Cancer and learning about all the innovative and impactful work that the organization accomplishes is awe-inspiring. It is an honour for me to now give back to the community in some small way.
Cancer doesn't stop, neither will we.
