Hello Friends! Please support me in the Tour de Cure!
In August 2024, I will embark on a cycling challenge of riding 200 kilometres over two days, from Cloverdale to Hope. This is a province-wide fundraising initiative by the BC Cancer Foundation.
It will be a challenge, but it does not compare to the challenges faced by those with cancer. As a Patient Care Aide of nine years at BC Cancer Victoria, I am inspired daily by our patients, for whom I will ride.
Money raised by my team and I at BC Cancer Victoria will go directly to our Patient Relief Fund. This fund supports cancer patients on Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands with financial assistance to cover additional expenses not currently covered to access treatment, such as accommodation, food, medical supplies, child care, and other related costs. The Patient Relief Fund makes an incredible difference to those who access it - it helps make treatment possible.
