In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer. We seem to be at a stage in our lives where we know so so many that are struggling with this heartless disease - friends and family alike. Since I have never been a cycler, I am super nervous, but I will be with a great group of Powell River folks who just want to do SOMETHING!
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world. The money raised through this ride goes to the general cancer research project, but you can also go directly to https://braincancercanada.ca/ to send funds directly to them if that is your preference.
