In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
I joined, because like many, I have family and friends who have experienced these terrible battles with some winning, and heartbreakingly, some losing. I simply can't imagine the trials, pain, and exhaustion they faced, but I know that if they are brave enough to fight for their lives, then I can step up to the mark too. Everyone needs someone in their corner, and I hope by this small act, I can help them feel supported and loved.
So here comes the big ask. Although my goal for the next five months is 2,500 dollars, my personal goal is 5,000 dollars. I am hoping to accomplish this through personal donations, fundraisers (emphasis on FUN), services like dog walking or helping someone move ( whatever you need , really) as well as through sales of my art cards, corporate donations, sponsorships and collaborations. If you are in the position of being able to help out in any small, medium ,or large way, I would be so grateful. If you donate a minimum amount of 100.00 dollars, I will personally deliver to you fresh chocolate chip cookies made by me. I also do celiac friendly and dairy free as well.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
