I did it. I got back on my bike.

Every spring I feel like the effort I need to put in to get into 260km biking shape is a weight on my back and I struggle to get started, to dust off my bike and suffer as an out of shape rider. This year I managed to book time in the family calendar on a 25mm rain day here in Vancouver and I was NOT looking forward to it. As I grumpily pulled out my "waterproof" shoe covers I knew I needed an attitude shift.

Could I be grateful for getting on my bike today?

Remembering why I was getting on my bike - to ride for those who could not, and for those who have lost so much more than I can imagine - gratitude was suddenly easy. Getting on my bike was suddenly easy.

I am grateful for the opportunity to ride in support of:

  • The Radziminski family and the memory of their 6 year old daughter Emma
  • The Laws family and the memory of their mother Elisa
  • My dad Chris who beat prostate cancer
  • My uncle Tom who is battling abdominal cancer
  • The memory of Cliff Wildgoose
  • The couple in the ER who tried to move out of the oncology ward but had to come back because the wife couldn't support her husband at home
  • The unknown person whose life is altered by research breakthrough from BC Cancer

Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please support me by making a donation today.

Thank you so much for your support!
