Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

August 2024 I will be my 12th year of participation in the Tour de Cure cycling challenge presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

The ride as well as the training is always long and difficult but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer.

Last November one of our valued customers at Legear Pelling Insurance and a very special friend to our family, Linda Chung, (pictured above) passed away from complications of ovarian cancer. Her loss was felt widely through the Richmond Community. She was a shining light and a force of positive energy at Danny's Wun Tun restaurant in Ironwood.

Also, one of our long term employees lost his nephew Zar Rai (also pictured above) to cancer in December at the young age of 12. His presence is very much missed by his family and friends. This demonstrates that cancer knows no bounds in who it touches and who it takes.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge once again!

If you are making a donation on behalf of someone who is currently dealing with cancer or someone who has passed, please let me know the name of the person so I can make a ribbon with their name on it to pin on my jersey.

I will be carrying Linda and Zar as angels on my shoulder during the ride in August.

Thank you so much for your support!

Debbie
