This is my 6th Tour de Cure (formerly known as the Ride to Conquer Cancer) and your continued support is appreciated. Cancer sucks; an ugly disease that impacts so many of us. But there is somethig we can all do about it by supporting cancer research. Treatmeants have improved dramatically in my lifetime and your support will help continue this upward trend.
This year I was happy to see a coleague come back to work after being away for over a year during his fight with cancer. I am certain all of the work we have done made his recovery possible. The Brainiacs also lost a team mate to cancer this year, which was very sad and shows us all that there is still work to do. Most recently, I lost my father in law to cancer this year. He won a fight with cancer earlier in his life, and we gained over a decade of his company which I am thankful for.
So once again I am going to ride with a large group of like minded people that love bikes and hate cancer. If you can afford to give a few dollars to fight cancer I would really appreciate it. If you want to come ride with us even better.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
