This year marks my 4th consecutive Tour de Cure cycling challenge. The Tour de Cure raises funds to support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Foundation. My life has been impacted by cancer, touching friends and family, so I ride for everyone that I care about, but I first took on the Tour de Cure challenge in support of my cousin Kelley Goldmanis and I continue to ride in her honour in 2024.

Outgoing, charismatic, confident and an immediate prescience when entering any room. This is my cousin Kelley Goldmanis. She is one of the strongest women I know and such an incredible female influence in my life. Kelley has the unique ability to empower those around her, with fervor and spirit. With her in my corner, I always feel like I can reach further than I ever thought possible.

Sadly, my cousin Kelley passed away on March 31st, 2021, after a 9-month battle with stage 4 colon cancer. This came as a surprise to all of us and we thought to ourselves, if anyone can win this kind of fight, it will be Kelley. And fight she did. Right up until the end, Kelley and her husband Aaron tried every treatment they could get their hands on. And while these treatments were really hard on her, she persevered and continued to push for better results. Until her body wouldnt let her anymore, she let go in peace.

Kelley has forever changed my life with her remarkable outlook on life; she never shied away from a challenge and truly lived her life to the fullest. With Kelley in my corner, I will continue to accept bigger and greater challenges head-on knowing that fear is my only limiting factor.

This August, 2024, I will once again be embarking on the Tour de Cure cycling challenge presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer. Please support me in the Tour de Cure as I ride in honour of my beautiful cousin Kelley Goldmanis. It will be hard, and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support!
