In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

In 2023 I signed up for the longest ride I had ever completed, 260km!!! Broken up into two rides over two days, a 160km ride on day one and 100km on the second day. The longest ride I had done was 90 km. And that was a long time ago. So I set a goal early spring of 2023 to bike 2,000 km in that season (March 27 to end of September). By June 17th I had successfully biked 1000 km on my mountain bike. Only a few short weeks later I completed the 1000km on my road bike which included two rides to Quesnel BC (120km one way, got a ride home each time). The day of the big ride had finally come Aug 26th in Surrey BC I was ready to tackle this monster of a ride with 2,400 km under my belt. I conquered the ride on both days. And finished off the 2023 cycling season with over 3000 kms!!
2024 cycling goal is 5,000km !! Please help me hit my goal of $2500!!!
