For the 16th year in a row, Im participating in the Tour De Cure!
On August 24-25, 2024 I will be cycling over 200 kilometers from Cloverdale to Hope with thousands of other riders.
All the proceeds will go to the BC Cancer Foundation to support cancer research, new treatments and enhanced supportive care at BC Cancer.
I am hoping you may consider joining me in contributing to this cause! You don't have to ride, I'll take care of that part. Please join me by donating any amount you feel you can.
Our team, the Market Cycles, have raised $1 Million dollars since inception an incredible achievement as only about a dozen teams have reached this milestone!
Why I ride?
I ride for hope. Hope that one day my loved ones live in a world free of cancer.
I ride to remember my dear colleague Ken Hawley who passed away in May 2010 from aggressive prostate cancer.
I ride to remember my loved ones and clients who have lost their battles with cancer.
I ride to support my loved ones and clients currently batting this awful disease.
I ride to inspire others to take action in this ongoing battle with cancer.
Cancer knows no bounds and has touched us all in one way or another. On that note, my youngest brother (age 42) has recently started his second year of treatment for kidney cancer that has unfortunately spread to his liver and to his lungs. He is currently taking part in an immunotherapy clinical trial and is under the care of the wonderful doctors and nurses at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver. He is responding exceptionally well to the clinical trial treatment. Im so thankful for your support.
Thank you again for partnering with me - together we can achieve incredible change and power world-class cancer research at BC Cancer!
Whether you would consider donating to support me, to memorialize a lost loved one, to create a better future for the next generations, or for another personal reason, the end result is the same: to finally conquer cancer.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
In gratitude.
Mark
