Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

In August of 2024 I will be embarking on my tenth year riding 200kms to raise money for childrens' cancer research. I will be 61 years old when I do this epic cycling challenge. God Help Me! Every year, it is the same. I want to drink rose on a patio, not train for 200km in god-only-knows what crazy weather conditions. But last year things changed. Team Nick joined Team Hawkes, who joined the Brainiacs and my life has been forever changed. Of course I am still, foremost and always riding for one of my favorite humans Nick Rutledge, but now I'm riding for Penny's brother, and so many more tentacles that expand to so many more people who have been affected by cancer. I am incredibly grateful for being a part of the brainiacs, as they are one of the most positive, supportive, encouraging, hilarious groups I have ever met. And I know if anything of the cancer sort ever happens to me, they will ride for me!

The ride will be hard and it will be long as usual, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer something I have never faced, but people close to me have.

The funds I raise through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, for children, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support and enduring all my kevetching and self doubt along the way!
