I have once again committed to participate and captain my Team CRUSH IT in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
I've been involved for over 9 years and am very grateful to participate in this epic event and for such a vital cause so close to my heart.
My bike crash last year and long recovery will not deter me!
My Mom, my brother and I have been diagnosed with cancer at different times in our lives.
Cancer is a devastating disease and I want it erradicated, crushed!
I created a cycling team in 2016, Team CRUSH IT, named by my brother, and have never looked back.
I have too many friends and their families, including team-mates, who have been impacted by this horrible disease, precious lives lost, and those currently receiving treatment for cancer. It breaks my heart, and therefore, I am committed and passionate to make a difference however possible. On a positive note, I also know folks who have survived cancer and are now thankfully thriving! Supporting cancer research is vital!
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
