In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
This will be my 14th year doing this fundraising ride!
In the past few years cancer has had a big impact on my family members; my dear Auntie Ethel and Uncle Zeno both died of cancer, my sister-in-law Cheryl is bravely fighting her challenges as is my cousin Mary Anne. Its all around us and we need to do what we can do to fundraise for ongoing research, advances in treatment and support for patients and their families!
It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare at all to the challenges of facing cancer.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia, across Canada and making an impact around the world.
