Please support me and BC Cancer Foundation in the Tour de Cure by donating or joining us in the 2024 ride.

This August I will be riding in the Tour de Cure to help BC Cancer Foundation continue to fund life-saving cancer research and enhancements to care, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

This is personal for us and we are committed to riding for the 15th year to provide funds that make a difference for people who are diagnosed with cancer. With a target to reach a cumulative total of $1M raised over those 15 years.

There are too many stories, too many people affected, and too many who are no longer able to ride with us. So, we will continue to ride along with our Team Way Hey Hey! family in the 2024 Tour de Cure. Every rider has their reason for participating. We began riding in 2010 after Selina's diagnosis a few years earlier.

Selina continues to ride. And thrive. Despite a diagnosis 17 years ago that suggested she would not. Thanks to research that generated an effective daily chemotherapy that targeted her cancer and kept her healthy for over 15 years. She had a brief reprieve from chemo last year and hope that perhaps she was cancer-free, but her cancer returned. Chemo is part of the daily routine again. This time, there is greater confidence in treatment with the knowledge that it has been effective before, and that research has resulted in multiple new treatment options and much better outcomes than when she was originally diagnosed. This is why we ride. To support life-saving research that is funded through the BC Cancer Foundation. To move towards better outcomes and more "Ordinary Days".

Not all of our team riders and not all of their family and friends have been so lucky. So we also ride for them. We all have a reason that is personal.

Please consider supporting BC Cancer Foundation with a donation to Team Way Hey Hey! or join us on the ride this August.

Thank you so much for your support now and in previous years of the Tour de Cure and the Ride to Conquer Cancer. It is making a difference.
