I'm taking on the Tour de Cure
Held by Torrie Bradshaw
Hi friends, family, and co-workers...thank you for visiting my page. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help the BC Cancer Foundation. The Tour de Cure is a 200km, 2-day cycle through the BC lower mainland. Funds raised through donations will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer. This is my first year participating in the event and I feel very fortunate to join the Silver Bullets team.
Cancer has an effect on most people either directly or indirectly and it can be indiscriminate of age or lifestyle. My younger brother had a 2.5-year battle with glioblastoma (GBM) and passed in October 2022. He went through multiple rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, and surgeries, but for GBM, which is an aggressive brain cancer, all treatments are only partially or temporarily effective. Giving hope and improving the science is crucial for cancer patients and their families. Enhanced treatment options or even new breakthroughs can be made possible with the support of organizations like the BC Cancer Foundation.
This cycling challenge is nothing compared to the struggle people face after diagnosis, but it is important to raise awareness and support for those in need.
Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Donations are tax deductible.
Thank you so much for your generousity!
