UPDATE: August 25, 2023, Guess what???? I have reached my goal of $8000 on the final day! Thanks to "Audi Jai" for making me meet my personal goal. I think you really want to see me cycle 260km in 31+ degrees weather. Tomorrow I will be riding Tour de Cure. Looks like I will be doing the 260km bike ride since I have reached my goal. Thank you all for your generous donation to BC Cancer Foundation. NOTE: The event organizer will monitor the air quality health index (AQHI) forecast in the Fraser Valley for the weekend to determine how it will impact the event. Currently the AQHI is moderate risk in the Fraser Valley due to wildfire in BC and Washington State. I do hope the event will go on and challenge myself to 260km.

UPDATE: August 18, 2023, I have broken the $7500 barrier with many thanks for generous donors who donated to BC Cancer Foundation from my home page here. I am only $305 away from my goal of $8000. If I reach this $8000 milestone I will challenge myself to cycle 260km instead of 200km. Do you think I will break the $8K marker?

UPDATE: July 2, 2023, I have passed $7000 milestone. Thank you for your generous donation to BC Cancer Foundation and helping me achieve my goal. I am now $955 to my goal of $8000. Once I reached $8000 I will be cycling 260 km instead of the regular 200 km.

UPDATE: June 19, 2023, I have passed the $6000 milestone because of generous donations to BC Cancer Foundation from family and friends. Every dollar counts toward good cause. THANK YOU!

UPDATE: I've reached my $2,500 fundraising goal. Thank you for your support. This couldn't be achieved without your donation to support cancer research. As a result, I will be cycling 200 KM in two days in August. To make things more challenging, I have increased the challenge for myself. If I can fundraise $8000 for BC Cancer Foundation I will do the epic 260 KM challenge route instead of the regular 200 KM route. This is for a good cause. Be sure to check my YouTube channel, WOKSUP604, after the event. I will be posting my video from the event - subscribe and like WOKSUP604 Lastly, I want to say together we can make a difference.

------------------------------------

Dear Family and Friends,

Please support me in the BC Cancer Foundation Tour de Cure! My good friend, Pedro, and I have created Team Fireball. This is our first time participating in the event. Together we will ride to raise funds for advance research and innovate care at BC Cancer.

This August we will be embarking on an epic cycling challenge. The challenge is to cycle from Surrey to Hope, British Columbia which is 200 KM bike ride in two days. We have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer. I have seen what my mom has gone through last year with pain and tears. She was small in size but she was a fighter. She fought cancer with all her will power to the very end but unfortunately she lost the battle. I will be cycling in memory of my mom who put up a courageous fight with cancer. I can see how much mom has sacrificed for the family and I want to say that I'm so grateful for all she did. She was selfless and giving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mom, I miss you very much. I have never gone by a day without thinking of you. You were my hero and was a super mom.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support!

Johnny
