This August I'm doing the Tour de Cure to help fundraise for the BC Cancer Foundation.
It's a 200 km bike ride. TWO HUNDRED. I know what you're thinking - 200 kms seems like a bit much. I had the same thought. But the idea is this: riding such a great distance, on a rock hard seat, in the blazing sun isn't nearly as arduous as having cancer. So we ride, suck it up, and think of all those who have suffered more.
This year, I am dedicating my ride to Lockie Brown, who recently lost his battle. And to both my parents, who fortunately won theirs.
So PLEASE, if you can, cough up a bit of dough. You will be supporting life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer. And you'll be putting some wind in my sails!
Thank you so much for your support.
