Please support me in the Tour de Cure! - TEAM CURE CHELSEA is near and dear to my heart.

Please join us in riding or donate today! Do it to BEAT CANCER and to give those like Chelsea hope.

My daughter, Chelsea, has osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that starts in the bone. She is so positive every day and is battling to kick cancer's ass!

Chelsea was counting down the days to her and Jordan's wedding, planning their honeymoon, and dreaming of future parenthood when life came at them, hard. Her battle with cancer is only just beginning, which includes six rounds of chemo, surgery, and rehab.

So far, it has been a bumpy road. Chelsea's blood count was so low after the first dose of chemo that she started running a fever and was admitted to hospital for several days, including her wedding day!

Chelsea was given a day pass to attend her wedding, a quiet ceremony attended by immediate family at a lovely outdoor chapel. Brent wheeled her down the aisle in her wheelchair while Jordan's father strummed the guitar to lead her up the aisle. The nurses at the hospital were amazing! With the help of our neighbour, who is also a nurse at the hospital, they decorated the hospital room into a honeymoon suite. They all clapped and cheered when the newlyweds entered the ward. The room was decorated with balloons, streamers, scattered flower petals (fake though lol), and a Just Married sign! The newly married couple spent their wedding night in the cancer ward, with nurses wheeling in a bed so Jordan could sleep next to his new wife.

My sister and niece have also battled cancer and so many others are touched by this horrible disease.

Cancer doesn't stop, neither will we!

This August I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help the BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today, no amount is too small. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support!
