Dear friends and family,

I hope this email finds you all in good health. I'm writing to share some exciting news and to request your support for a cause that is very close to my heart.

This year, I have taken on the challenge of participating in the "Tour de Cure" (formerly known as the "Ride to Conquer Cancer"). I am proud to be a part of the "Blood, Sweat, and Cures" team, and together, we will be riding either 200 or 260 kilometres between Cloverdale and Hope over two days. This incredible journey brings together a community of individuals, all united by a common goal - advancing cancer research, treatments, and improving care for BC cancer patients.

As many of you may already know, this cause is particularly meaningful to me. In 2011, my father was diagnosed with lymphoma. Though I was just five years old at the time, I witnessed the struggle my mother and close family friends faced during those challenging months.

Our team, "Blood, Sweat, and Cures," has set an ambitious goal of raising $800,000 for the Centre for Lymphoid Cancer (CLC). The funds we raise will have a tremendous impact, as they will be further leveraged to as much as $8,000,000 through grants and other opportunities. With your generous support, we can make a significant difference in the lives of current and future cancer patients in BC.

It is at this point in my email at which I request your assistance in reaching my fundraising target. No donation is too small, and every contribution matters. Your generosity will support crucial initiatives at the CLC giving cancer patients and families a hope for a brighter future.

By coming together as a community, we can create positive change and make a meaningful impact. If you are unable to contribute at this time, I completely understand. However, if you could share this email or my fundraising page with your friends, or anyone who might be interested in supporting this cause, it would be greatly appreciated.

Together, we can make a difference.Thank you for considering my request, and I am deeply grateful for any support you can provide.

With warmest regards,

Torsten
