I'm taking on the Tour de Cure
Held by John Gjervan
Last year, I had the pleasure of participating in the Tour de Cure with my family. We raising over $12,000 as a family, with the team raising $675,000.
This August 26/27th, I am proudly participating for my second year with my entire family in the Tour de Cure on a the Blood, Sweat & Cures team.
My team's captain is a very good friend of mine, Alex Blodgett. Alex was diagnosed here in BC with late stage lymphatic cancer that had metastasized from his stomach into his lungs. He strongly believes that we have one of the best lymphoma centres in the world. Alex survived his battle with cancer with the help of the wonderful, dedicated, and hard working team at BC Cancer, and I will be riding alongside him to help support the very same team that saved his life.
Given the funding, researchers at the Centre for Lymphoid Cancer (CLC) will have the support they need to save more lives like they did for my friend Alex.
All of us have been touched by cancer in some way and this fundraiser is an excellent opportunity to give back and help drive the breakthroughs required to save more lives.
Our donors fuel hope for the 80,000 patients/year who depend on BC Cancer. Every dollar raised remains in B.C., and is put towards advancing innovation and breakthroughs across BC Cancers research programs.
If you are able to donate, your support would be greatly appreciated.
