Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

This August I will be embarking on a 100km cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

Why am I riding? I am riding for my dad. In 2018 he was diagnosed with late stage III stomach cancer, when he underwent partial gastrectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. After a long and arduous battle full of ups and downs, he recovered very well and had a great year in 2019. In 2020, however, a routine exam revealed that the cancer had returned in the lymph nodes. We were told it was incurable, and that chemotherapy would decelerate the growth. After a long battle, my dad passed away in the summer of 2021.

My dad was a courageous fighter. He approached every day with a positive outlook and an "I'm going to beat this" attitude. He fought so hard, every day, and always said that he felt good, even near his final days. This cycling journey does not come close to comparing to what he had gone through, but can honor his memory and help make a difference in the lives of others. He is my role model and will always be an inspiration.

I am riding for my dad, and will embrace this journey with the same can-do attitude that he held during his battle with stomach cancer.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!

Thank you so much for your support!
