I'm taking on the Tour de Cure

Please support me in the Tour de Cure!
This August I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
On my 29th birthday, I received a phone call from the surgeon that removed a cyst on my back. I was told they found cancer cells in the cyst they removed. This had to be some sort of joke right?
It wasn't.
Since that phone call, I've completed a blood test and saw a specialist at BC Cancer. The specialist reported the cancer I have is very likely to be benign (didn't spread to other parts of my body), so hopefully removing the cyst was the end of it. The next step of the process is to perform a CT scan which can clarify the remaining uncertainties.
No matter what the result may be, I'm feeling confident I'm going to win. I recognize that I'm lucky to have supportive friends and family who has helped me tremendously to get into the right head space. I know what it's like to get that phone call from the doctor and I wish no one else has to go through it. So that's why I decided to join my friend Geraldine to take part in the Tour de Cure's cause to raise money to breakdown cancer.
The bike ride will be hard and it will be long, but it's for a good cause.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!
Thank you so much for your support!
