This August I will be embarking on a 3rd cycling challenge of 200km over the course of 2 days. This is my 3rd year in participating in this event. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer. Many of us have friends & family who are currently battling cancer. Many of us have lost loved ones. My reasons are to honour those who have been touched by cancer.
Dad-I will always dedicate this ride to you. We will carry others.

Janet-my dear cousin. You fought your battle with such grace & strength-you are an amazing daughter-sister-mother-grandmother! And we are so grateful & blessed you are here with us today to tell your story. I will think of you during this ride.
I continue to rate myself as a beginner cyclist. I am relying on the many of my team to teach-mentor-support me on this journey. When I first joined this amazing team my goal was 50km in one day. With the encouragement of my team I accomplished this goal.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
