Like so many others, I got into cycling during the pandemic and it basically took a life of its own. While the physical benefit has been great, I'm glad for the opportunities to support causes I care about through activities I genuinely enjoy doing.
On Aug 26 and 27 next year (2023), I'm aiming to participate in Tour de Cure's 2-day cycling challenge around the Fraser Valley in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. The $7,000 generously donated by my donors contributed to the over $6.3 MILLION total funds raised through the 2022 event. These funds directly support BC Caner's groundbreaking research and advancements in cancer treatment and patient care.
I rode the 160km challenge this year (2022) around Chilliwack, Abbotsford, and Langley with hundreds of others who have been directly and indirectly affected by a cancer diagnosis. It's hard to describe what that felt like other than knowing that I definitely want to keep participating and supporting this cause year on year as much as I can. Knowing how BC Cancer is pioneering the field of cancer research and treatment gives me hope that a cure will be accessible in this lifetime.
Please support me and this cuase by donating to my fundraiser!
Thank you so much for your support!
