I'm taking on the Tour de Cure

This will be my 8th year as a Wheelin' Warrior I can hardly believe that much time has gone by since I was enveloped by this amazing team. Im so very excited that this year I will again be able to ride. I had been a crew member for the first few years and longed to be on my bike along side the incredible riders raising funds for cancer research. Two years ago my dream came true .

I originally joined the team as an honorary guest, in the midst of my battle with breast cancer, invited to the gala fundraiser by our amazing Karin Piche. She touched my heart and welcomed me into a family of incredible intelligent gracious generous strong focussed and determined people. I am still humble daily by the kindness and the comradery that surrounds this team, all with one mutual goal in mind and that is to find a cure for cancer.

Every single one of us has been impacted by cancer in some way shape or form. We are built of survivors supporters and fighters! I am a survivor and a warrior and I will fight for our future.

My journey began as a child and the battle has been a long and heart wrenching road but along side the losses and heartache there have been tremendous moments of victory and those moments drive me forward ! I will not stop supporting cancer research until there is a world that is cancer free!

I fight for a cure in memory of my brother father aunt grandfather and far too many dear friends ...in victory beside my friends, my family, and my mother who have all conquered and live today cancer free...and in battle beside more friends and family than I ever could have imagined that would hear those terrifying words you have cancer...this year my 2023 Ride to conquer cancer in the Tour de Cure is for you Tammy !!!

I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRAND CHILDREN... You are my reason and I am so grateful to have you in my life!

This August I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

It will be hard and it will be long, but it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
