Detect Early Manage Early Save Lives

This is Better Outcomes twelfth year in the Tour de Cure. Our team of bat-inspired cancer-fighting superheroes raises money to support research dedicated to increasing the accuracy of detecting the precursors of oral cancer. Detection of oral lesions early has the largest possible impact on success. This research is spearheaded by Dr. Pamela Gardner who is also riding with us.

In 2016, one of our captains wore a Ziggy Stardust whilst cycling in order to raise more funds and pay tribute to the great David Bowie who was taken by cancer. In 2017, our team adopted a Batman theme for the ride in order to pay tribute to Adam West who was also lost to cancer. The Batman theme was such a big hit that our team has maintained it ever since. Our team is always looking for more superheroes. This is your opportunity to do something challenging and rewarding. Cancer does not stop for the pandemic nor shall we.

Please be a superhero in the fight against cancer by joining us or donating to one of our riders!

The BC Cancer Foundation is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the province, supporting leading-edge cancer research at BC Cancer whose mission is to:
