As Captain of Team Supernatural, we are proud to be participating in our 11th year of the Tour de Cure, formerly the Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting The BC Cancer Foundation!! Before Covid-19 this was 2 day cycling journey going from Vancouver to Hope. With this being the 1st year back being all together, it will be a 1 Day ride around Chilliwack on Aug. 27, 2022
Thanks to all our supporters, Team Supernatural has always been proud to have raised enough money to participated the rides as Ambassadors. To date, Team Supernatural has raised over $270,000.00!! This year, Jill and I will be riding together, Jills 1st time as a rider. We will still have our Sweep team in our Durango.
Team Supernatural, began this journey by participating in honour of our good friend and mentor, Kim Manners, an executive producer/director, noted for his amazing talents on the TV series Supernatural, The X-Files, and many other productions, who passed away 13 years ago suddenly in 2009, from lung cancer. Now with Supernatural finished, we are not forgetting where our inspiration started.
And, we are riding for our very good friend Scott Bailey pass away in 2021, from prostate and bone cancers. With Kim in our hearts and memories and who got us started on this journey; our aunts, uncles, friends and colleagues, who have lost their lives to cancer kept us participating in this event. Cancer touches everyone's lives, and we are fundraising for this event, so that our family, friends, and colleagues who are still battling this dreadful disease, will have a chance to survive, and go on to live happy, healthy lives.
We hope that you will share this incredible adventure with us by supporting us in our fundraising efforts. Team Supernatural's goal this year is to raise over $20,000.00, to make our grand total for the 11 years over $290,000!! We thank everyone who has supported us in the past, and we hope that it is possible for you to help again. For those of you, new to our donors list, or unable to contribute in past years, we hope that you might be able to consider making a donation this year. All proceeds go to the BC Cancer Foundation to support cancer research, treatment, and services.
Thank you, Kevin and Jill
