Dear family, friends and colleagues,

On Aug 26-27, 2023 I will be participating in my 8th Tour de Cure (formerly The Ride to Conquer Cancer). I will ride 200+ km from Cloverdale to Hope to raise funds for cancer research.

As a cancer survivor myself, I have witnessed the impact of this disease firsthand. I am grateful for the care and support I received during my own battle and now, I want to give back and help others facing similar challenges. The funds raised will directly contribute to advancing cancer research, ensuring that future generations have access to better treatments and improved care. In past years, the funds raised were used to help purchase new PET/CT scanners a donation of special significance in my career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

While past campaigns have already made a difference in the lives of many, we must continue our efforts to improve diagnosis and treatment and ultimately find a cure. This years ride is dedicated to my beloved father-in-law, Bruno, who succumbed to pancreatic and prostate cancer in January. During the 2 day journey, I will be pushing my limits both physically and mentally to honour the bravery of those who continue to fight cancer and to commemorate the lives of those who have died from cancer. Your support will be the driving force that keeps me going through every kilometer, knowing that together, we are making a meaningful difference.
