Welcome to my personal Tour de Cure page!
This is my fifth year fundraising for BC Cancer Foundation. This August I will be taking on a cycling challenge called Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals.
Although it will be long (the official 160 km plus personal 40 km add-on) and challenging, it does not compare to the challenge of facing cancer.
Why do I fundraise for BC Cancer Foundation? Mainly because my mom lived with cancer the last 4 years of her life (despite 3 surgeries since 2011). I fundraise for cancer research because a number of my friends / their family members have been affected by cancer. Tour de Cure is a small way I can make a big difference for cancer patients and their families locally and around the world.
Its not the sporting event I've chosen that makes a lasting impact. Its the donation you give to BC Cancer Foundation through Tour de Cure. Whatever youre able to give, THANK YOU. Every dollar you donate means a dollar more to the world leading scientists and doctors at BC Cancer who are breaking down cancer.
I really believe we can beat cancer together, and its through your generosity that we'll be able to do it!
PS, Current plan is to ride 200 km on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Here are a few hightlights along the route: Stanley Park, English Bay Beach, Sunset Beach, Simon Fraser University, Seymour Falls Dam, Grouse Mountain, Kitsilano Beach, Jericho Beach, Spanish Banks Beach, University of British Columbia, Vancouver International Airport, Iona Beach, and Steveston Village.
PPS, Will also plan to ride 160 km on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
