Dear Friends and Family -
This is very short notice, but next Saturday, August 28th, I will be embarking on a 100 km cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the "Tour de Cure" presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation raise funds for cancer research. This ride was previously known as the Ride to Conquer and was a two day event.
This year, as with so many things, the Ride has changed names to "Tour de Cure" and condensed to a 1 day event. So on Saturday, August 28th, I along with hundreds of others province-wide will take to the streets. I haven't ridden that far at one time yet, and haven't yet decided to use my road bike or "pedal assist", but in either case - anticipate finishing with pride! I am asking if you will support me, by making a donation on my webpage.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
We all have friends and family members who have been touched by cancer. Many of you have been treated for various forms of the disease yourself. When I went thru it 8 years ago, I was amazed at the level of services and support and quality of care made available to me and my family. Much of that is made possible by your donations!
Please help me reach my goal of raising $5,000! Every bit helps and counts!
Thank you so much for your support!
