In March 2017, as my oncologist explained the post-chemo protocols - continue the scans, bloodwork, and regular visits to BC Cancer for five years, I was so relieved to be done treatment yet very nervous for what was still ahead. I was convinced there would be a recurrance, that I would need more treatment, that I was only going to be given a short reprieve from the rigours of chemo...

And here we are, five years later, and I am nearing the end of the follow up protocol, fully confident that the chemo was a success and that I will continue to live cancer-free.

I am eternally grateful for the tireless work of BC Cancer and all they do for cancer patients and their care givers. This year I will again be particiapating in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
