Please support me in the Tour de Cure!
This August I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help the BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.
I am no stranger to the toll that cancer can take on ourselves, our families, and our communities. In the past year alone, two very dear friends died of cancer. Michael Heaven of breast cancer, and Jannine Cook of esophageal cancer. Both friends left loving families behind; its difficult to measure the scale of such loss.
Cancer has affected me and my family deeply and personally: when I was only 18 my mother died of cancer, I am a prostate cancer survivor, my wife is a Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer survivor, and now my middle daughter, Laurie, is battling stage 4 colorectal cancer at age 26!
Living through, and with, each diagnosis really tests ones limits. I know many of us have our own experiences with cancer, either directly or with loved ones. Please help in any way you can.
Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.
Please consider supporting me by making a gift today. Your donation will help me achieve my fundraising goal AND motivate me in this challenge!
Thank you so much for your support!
