Please support me in the Tour de Cure!

In August of 2024 I will be embarking on a cycling challenge. I have committed to participate in the Tour de Cure presented by Wheaton Precious Metals to help BC Cancer Foundation break down cancer.

Funds raised through the Tour de Cure will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer, bringing hope to cancer patients in British Columbia and making an impact around the world.

Sadly, we've all been touched by cancer in one form or another so this is a great opportunity to help me raise some funds that go to researching this insidious disease in its many guises. Its been six years since my decision to take part in the Ride and Im really glad that I did it. Its such a great event with so much positive energy. Last year the two day ride was cut short at lunch on day 2 due to air quality but fingers crossed the 200+ km ride from Cloverdale to Chilliwack to Hope will make it all the way. Challenges of the ride aside, the importance of doing it and raising funds continues to be important.

This event has garnered the participation of over 31,500 cyclists and over 5,000 volunteers since its inaugural ride in 2009 and in that time it has raised over $124 million. But why stop there? I look forward to help continue pushing the total up.

This is year six I've committed to the Ride. It takes place August 24-25 and all monies raised will go to support the fabulous cancer research done by BC Cancer.

I'm committing to raise at least $5,000 and the KPU Eagles team (now at 15!) has a goal of $37,500. To reach my goal I need your help, so here's where you come in. Please consider making a donation to support cancer research through the BC Cancer Foundation. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

If you feel like it, support one of the other KPU Eagles team members.

I'm riding to do something BIG about cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me by supporting through my fundraising efforts.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Sincerely,

Todd
